FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday December 14th, 2017
Ends Thursday, December 14th, 2017
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
This week's auction is filled with new material we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. Look for pieces mixed in from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Kay Robertson, Francesco Bedogné, and Paul Zerfass, along with dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. Large doubly-terminated, multi-crystal specimen of KUNZITE from Afghanistan (541 grams)
2. A rarely seen matrix specimen of gemmy CALCITE on SIDERITE from Billy Creek, Ouray, Colorado (ex Dave Bergman Collection)
3. An unusual specimen of newly mined ANDRADITE GARNET from Peru showing a banded "geode" form (nicknamed a "coconut")
4. Interesting bicolored (blue and yellow) BERYL crystal from Vietnam
5. Beautiful twinned crystals of green TITANITE on matrix from the Swiss Alps (ex Francesco Bedogné Collection)
6. Rare CATAPLEIITE pseudomorph after SODALITE from Mont Saint-Hilaire (ex Van Tichelen Collection)
7. PAGE 2 features assorted minerals from the Kay Robertson Collection!
