FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - end Thursday May 9th, 2019
Ends Thursday, May 9th, 2019
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from recent shows / discoveries along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including the newly acquired collection of David Burgess and Dr. William Logan along with pieces from Dr. Stephen Smale, Tom Campbell and Brian Lloyd, plus plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. Beautiful naturally bicolored Ametrine slab from Bolivia
2. Large gemmy green ANDRADITE GARNET on matrix from Afghanistan
3. Interesting Midwestern CALCITES from Iowa and Indiana
4. Gemmy, unusually golden-orange colored FLUORITE from China
5. Rarely seen RHODOCHROSITE specimen from the Lone Tree Mine in Nevada
6. Classic Swiss ANTASE ("Wiserine") specimen from the famous Binntal
7. A very rare association specimen featuring VAUXITE, PARAVAUXITE, METAVAUXITE and SIGLOITE together on the same piece
8. Assorted worldwide minerals (focusing on European and North American localities) from the Kay Robertson Collection
