FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - end Thursday June 6th, 2019
Ends Thursday, June 6th, 2019
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from recent shows / discoveries along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including the newly acquired collection of David Burgess, Tom Campbell and Dr. William Logan along with pieces from Charlie Key and Rich Kosnar, plus plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. Newly mined specimen of DIOPTASE with WULFENITE from the Mpita Mine, Rep. of Congo
2. Beautiful glowing pinkish-red RHODOCHROSITE from the Casapalca Mine in Peru (ex Dr. William Logan Collection)
3. Attractive multicolor PRECIOUS OPAL replacing petrified wood from Indonesia
4. Large "phantom" Calcite from the Denton Mine, Illinois
5. GEMMY natural blue TOPAZ crystal from the Xanda Mine, Brazil
6. Sharp, gemmy, doubly-terminated HANKSITE crystal from California
7. A recently mined specimen of unusual "windswept"-esque CHALCEDONY from Greece
8. Page 2 features assorted worldwide minerals (focusing on European and North American localities) from the Kay Robertson Collection
