FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - end October 26th, 2017
Ends Thursday, October 26th, 2017
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
This week's auction is filled with new material we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. You'll even find a few fossils, carving and gemstones mixed in every now and then. Look for pieces mixed in from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Kay Robertson, Francesco Bedogné, and Paul Zerfass, along with dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's include:
1. Rarely seen GOLD on QUARTZ from the famous Homestake Mine in South Dakota
2. A gemmy pink and green TOURMALINE crystal from the Cruzeiro Mine, Brazil
3. Impressive, notably SHARP and GEMMY colorless PETALITE crystal from Afghanistan (ex Herb Obodda)
4. Beautifully crystallized, brilliant PYRITE crystals from the Nanisivik Mine, Baffin Island, Canada
5. Rare TURQUOISE pseudomorph after APATITE from the La Caridad Mine, Mexico
6. Very sharp, well-formed crystals of deep red TANATALITE-(Mn) from Murrua, Alto Ligonha, Mozambique 7. Rarities include POTOSIITE with FRANCKEITE, ZARATITE on CHROMITE, LABUNTSOVITE-(Mn), and specimens of CARPHOLITE, PALENZONAITE and NATROCHALCITE all from the type locality!
