FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - end May 11th, 2017
Ends Thursday, May 11th, 2017
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
This week's auction is filled with plenty of new discoveries we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. You'll even find a few fossils, carving and gemstones mixed in every now and then. Of course we have plenty of pieces from the famous and historic Willard Wulff collection, along with dealers' inventories and other private collections that we're liquidating. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's include:
1. Classic, old time rich purple AMETHYST crystals from Piedra Parada (formerly Las Vigas), Mexico
2. A unique orange colored FLUORITE from Tongbai, China
3. Large fine quality, sharp, lustrous prismatic group of AEGIRINE crystals of Malawi
4. Showy and fine quality pseudomorphs of MALACHITE after AZURITE from Ajo, Arizona
5. A good quality GEM/gemmy SMITHSONITE on GALENA from Broken Hill, Australia
6. A GREAT mix of RARITIES this week including GORDAITE, CHERNYKITE and POTOSIITE / FRANCKEITE - plus a piece of CANNIZZARITE, a piece of ALMEIDAITE, a piece of CHERNYKHITE and a piece of GATUMBAITE from their respective Type Localities
