Ends June 23rd, 2016
at 6:30 PM (Central Time Zone)
Another exciting week featuring a bunch of specimens from the recently acquired collection from the east coast with plenty of classic material from historic defunct localities. Look for a mix of rarities, classics, hard to find and well-known species plus gem crystals and native elements. This collection dates from the 1950s to the 1990s and covers a wide variety of material. There are plenty of hidden treasures and valuable older material mixed in, so look closely! As always this auction is filled with interesting specimens both classic and contemporary, and not just the standard "20 species", but an eclectic assortment of exciting pieces that appeal to a wide range of collectors
Some of the highlights from this week's include:
1. Beautiful "floater" group of Gypsum with a fine "fishtail"-twin from Canada
2. Fine quality crystallized Sodalite (variety: Hackmanite) on matrix from Afghanistan
3. Blue Lace Agate replacing (pseudomorphing) Fluorite from Namibia
4. A very good, glassy, colorless "Faden" Quartz specimen from Pakistan
5. Large cabinet display specimen of beautiful pink Mn-Calcite from the Idarado Mine in Colorado
6. A FINE quality, gemmy, rich emerald green Vivianite on matrix from Bolivia (ex Wally Mann)
