Special Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher Collection Auction

This is surreal to say out loud, but we have the privilege to welcome you to the most exciting collection dispersal we could possibly ever dream of making on MineralAuctions.com! We are honored to be able to announce a collaboration with the Pohl family to share the gradual release of thousands of specimens from the vast collection of Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher (1919-2016) of Switzerland to the world of mineral collectors. Dr. Pohl amassed the largest known collection of minerals, during her more than 70 years of collecting activity. She specialized in "everything," and so the collection is made up of suites approaching 100,000 specimens which we are selecting from. We will be starting with Africa: over 1000 specimens from the African collection have been chosen to sell at auction over 2023, and a special Tsumeb thumbnails update will arrive this summer. Stay tuned for monthly or near-monthly auctions featuring classic African minerals, particularly Tsumeb specimens, in the future.
