at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: NEW COLLECTION ACQUIRED!
We are excited to announce that we have purchased the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Wulff was a fixture in the world of Colorado field collecting, and was one of the founding members of Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in November of 1936. His contemporaries included dealer Lazard Cahn, famous field collector Edwin Over and the esteemed collector George White. Starting this week, the majority of Wulff's 1000+ piece collection will be offered over the coming months in the auctions. Most specimens are accompanied with Wulff's signature typed 3x5 index cards, and some specimens date back over 70 years! A great "time capsule" of a collection with plenty of interesting, unique and worthwhile specimens to add to your own collection.
We found a link for an autobiography that Wulff wrote in 1985 on the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society website. Click here to read it.
Some of the highlights from this week's include:
1. Gemmy, natural purple and yellow bicolor Ametrine from Bolivia
2. Excellent rich purple Fluorite on Ferberite from Kara-Oba, Kazakhstan
3. FLUORESCENT "Hyalite" Opal from Mexico
4. FINE quality, gemmy, Epidote crystal group from Pakistan
5. Classic Azurite specimen from the Czar Shaft in Bisbee
6. Rare Columbite-(Mn) crystals on MATRIX from Pakistan
