Chalcopyrite on Calcite (2015 find)

Dazzling, variably iridescent, intensely sparkly chalcopyrite microcrystals richly and preferentially cover the sculptural jackstraw cluster of dogtooth calcite crystals on this dramatic and most colorful combination from a small early 2015 Chinese find. In great shape, with only a couple of gently bruised tips noted, which are certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent and uncommon combination. Moderate pink calcite fluorescence. The specimen displays beautifully without aid. These pieces really have a surreal look to them!
